Wipe your facebook clean? Not so fast.

So you want to wipe your Facebook clean, delete all your old posts, your likes...etc, but you don't want to actually delete your account because you want to stay in touch with friends? Not so fast.

I've actually been attempting to do this exact thing, but Facebook definitely isn't making it easy on me. After backing up my account, and using a variety of methods including macros and manual deletions, I've managed to delete ALMOST everything on my account.

 I say almost for a reason, I've run into the following bugs and no one from Facebook is responding to my questions or bug reports;

  1. You will come across some of your own posts on your own wall that won't delete no matter what you do.
  2. You will come across posts by other people that you were tagged in, that you cannot un-tag yourself from.
  3. If you have an old account, chances are you wrote your "interests" manually. Those interests have been automatically turned into "Pages" , Now no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to actually un-like those pages. And whatever you manage to unlike will be back again after a few days with no explanation.
  4. You will have X amount of "likes" listed. You will never be able to see everything on that list, and therefore unable to actually unlike them.
  5. Remember those interests?  If your account is a few years old, you also wrote them down your favorite movies, shows...etc manually , and they automatically got turned into pages. points 3-4 apply in this case.
  6. Some of your comments on groups cannot be deleted.
  7. In most cases, if you commented on a post/picture in a group, but you're no longer a member of the group, you'll be unable to remove your comment.

There are many more issues, but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head.
